ORLAN’s artworks from the series *Skaï* and *Sky and Vidéo* (1983), exhibited in this show, draw their iconography from Western art history. They reflect ORLAN’s exploration of feminine identity and serve as a critique of religious pressures.

video ORLAN REMIX for VIVRE ENSEMBLE | Les Poissons Volants & SOS Racisme, France
As part of its efforts to combat racism, anti-Semitism, and intolerance, the French nonprofit association SOS RACISME has produced a collection of short films by 10 directors, including ORLAN. Each film is a bold act of activism. The theme of these films is “Live Together.” They are intended to reach the widest possible audience.
For this project, ORLAN has created her film *ORLAN REMIX*, in which she remixes the original film *Clair de Femme* by Kosta-Gavras, which was itself based on texts by Deleuze and Guattari.
