As soon as the photocopier became commercially available, ORLAN immediately photocopied a slab of marble and made faux marble on colored paper, which she then cut geometrically and glued to cardboard. To create these collages, ORLAN also used collaged and cropped photocopies of her Baroque period, enhanced with pastels, paint, foliage, plastic flowers and feathers. |
